Customer pets

Keep each dog or cat on file so every booking and quote names the right pet — no “which one?” texts at the van.

See it in action

Open Pets when your business type is pet grooming.

Add a pet

  1. Open Pets or a customer detail page.
  2. Tap Add a pet.
  3. Enter the pet’s name and species (breed and the rest of the profile are optional).
  4. Save, then attach that pet on new bookings and quotes.
  5. Search by pet name or customer when the list grows.

On a job

  1. Open the pet for photos, details, and notes on the left; owner, bookings, and vaccinations on the right.
  2. The + button adds a note, photo, vaccination record, or booking (customer already filled in).
  3. Empty profile tile says Add profile photo — tap it to upload a large photo (JPG or PNG). Smaller gallery tiles sit under it.
  4. Tap the Notes pencil to add reminders (same as customer notes). The header ··· menu deletes the pet; past jobs keep the snapshot.
  5. Prefer attaching the customer’s own pet — not a one-off name — so CRM history stays clean.
  6. From booking or quote flows, pick the pet when the wizard asks so the job ticket shows the right animal.
  7. Public booking can capture name, species, and breed; we save that onto the customer’s pet list. Public Request a quote can collect the same identity fields (photos stay on the quote).

Tips

  • The list top strip shows Pets, Customers, With photos, and Vaccinations so you can see roster size at a glance.
  • Open a pet to log vaccination records (shots, expiration, exemption, optional photo or PDF proof). Booking does not check them. Upcoming and past bookings for that pet sit under Owner.
  • Use Notes on the pet for reminders (same as customer notes). The header ··· menu deletes the pet; past jobs keep the snapshot.
  • Pets are provider-side CRM; they do not appear as a public catalog.
  • On a phone, Pets lives under More at every width — even when Customers is a bottom tab on wider phones.
  • If Pets is missing from nav, your business type may not enable grooming — check Profile / business type setup.
  • Seeded Pawlane demos include showcase pets (search a name like Milo in demo data).
